Join us for one of the most scenic adventures on the garden route. Here in Mossel Bay we are lucky to have four tidal rivers on our doorstep, namely Hartenbos, Klein Brak, Groot Brak and Gouritz. Our guides have extensive knowledge of these rivers and the surrounding areas and have spent many hours fishing and rowing them. For this reason we have based our trips and packages on these same four rivers. Weather you want to spend the afternoon rowing with a lazy tidal river current towards the sea, or weather you want to drift-fish for grunter with fresh live prawn, over a shallow sand bank, we have the right package for you.

Easy rowing. This option can be done on any of the rivers. The entry and exit points may vary according to wind direction and tide but the awesome scenery and tranquility stay the same. A variety of fish, plant and bird life can be experienced and our routes are specially chosen to show the most beautiful parts of our rivers. The prices of these trips vary from R200 – R300pp depending on river choice and duration and groups of up to 10 can be accommodated. Larger groups can also be accommodated by special arrangement.

Fishing : Our river are renowned through out the country for their abundance of fish and they provide excellent fishing opportunities. Species such as Kob, Garrick, Steenbras, and Elf are common catches but the gem of these river systems are the many Spotted Grunter. These fish reach sizes of more than 6kgs and are pound for pound one of the strongest fighting fish of our area. Fish of medium size are easily and often caught. The larger specimens take a bit more skill to hook and land as they are very wary of medium and heavy tackle. We however have perfected the art of drifting for these beauties and are dying to share these “secrets” with our customers. These trips start at 300 pp and included the tackle needed. Demonstrations are also given on bait collection, presentation and tackle selection and preparation.
