The area : The St Blaize Trail is a rocky hiking trail that runs from the Mossel Bay lighthouse, westward, until Dana bay. It is as rich in history as Mossel bay bay itself. It is home to a number of caves used a billion years ago buy nomadic pygmies for gatherings and cave painting. The abundance of plant and bird life coupled with high cliffs and elevated ocean views make this one of the most scenic trails in our are and in the country. This package is recommended for people of reasonable fitness.
The fishing : This is generally a cliffy area with scattered bays and beaches. There are also various rock points which provide deep water close by. This makes the fishing diverse and most species can be targeted here depending on the season and conditions . Also a good choice when faced with unfavorable conditions due to a protected bays. Species: Galjoen, Mussel Cracker, Shad Garrick, Black tail, Various shark species Times: 7am- 1pm 1pm – 7pm (These times are flexible) Cost : 1 person = R600 ; 2 persons = R500pp ; 3 or more = R400 pp Included : 1 Picnic lunch per person ; Champagne and oyster recap upon return to vehicle Other notes :Tackle can be supplied on request.Want to find out more? Shark AdventureThe Area: There are many possible locations for this activity depending on time of year, water conditions, temperatures, and recent catches. The most common are Beacon Point, St Blaize trail, and Fransmanshoek The fishing: Shark fishing is generally the most exiting. Different sizes and species can be targeted depending on the anglers experience and preference. Common catches include Spotted Ragged Toothed Sharks, Bronse Whalers, Grey sharks, Hammer Heads, Spotted Gully Shark, Smooth Hound Sharks, Skates, and many others.
